Ep. 28 - The Connection Between Environment and Autoimmunity

Episode 28

The latest figures show that autoimmune diseases globally cost $149 billion to the economy – which is a huge problem for our society. Autoimmune diseases are growing at a rate of around 3-12% a year and studies have now proven that genetics play a much smaller role than we may have initially thought.

In this episode, Nicole discusses the increasing rate of autoimmune diseases, exploring the environmental factors that can trigger these diseases, including chemical compounds, various infections and also the role that diet and nutrition plays. Tune in to find out how we can take control of the environmental factors to prevent autoimmune diseases and enhance our longevity.
